We are Mehibi Studio. Founded in 2015 with a single, powerful dream: to empower authors by making exquisite children’s books a reality for all. Since then, we’ve become story alchemists, crafting over 150 published books that spark children’s imaginations and ignite a lifelong love for reading.

With your approval on the illustrations, the real magic begins! Our team utilizes cutting-edge technology and industry-standard software to meticulously assemble your dream book. Firstly, we want to understand your characters, themes, and anything else you envision for your book. While a quick phone call is always welcome, for a deeper dive, please send your story and any project details via email. To help you visualize your dream book, explore our “Children’s Book Illustration” gallery and get inspired by a variety of styles. Once we have a clear understanding of your project, we’ll provide a personalized quote and estimated timeline.
In this crucial stage, your story takes flight! We’ll meticulously craft a text-based layout for your approval, ensuring the flow feels perfect. Simultaneously, we’ll delve into designing your main character(s). To visualize the book’s structure, we’ll create a simple storyboard and begin sketching. Once complete, we’ll send you draft sketches for your review. We understand revisions are key to achieving your vision. Our package includes a maximum of THREE rounds of revisions to perfect the basic layout and sketches. These revisions allow for adjustments to the sketches, but major changes or redraws may incur additional fees. To ensure a smooth process, please provide clear and specific feedback during this stage. Any illustration changes requested after this point will be subject to additional charges. Let’s work together to bring your story to life with stunning visuals!
This stage, often the longest (3-6 weeks, potentially more for complex illustrations), is where your story explodes with color. We’ll keep you informed if anything extends beyond the initial timeframe.
Here, the book truly comes alive! We’ll meticulously import your illustrations and begin the editing process. This stage typically takes about 2-3 weeks to weave your story and visuals into a cohesive masterpiece.
As your stunning illustrations near completion, the remaining balance (typically 50% of the agreed fee) will be due. Once received, we’ll finalize everything and send you the complete book proof for your review. Please note: This final payment is required before we send the completed book files, ready for your final editing touches.
Once your book arrives, it’s time for a meticulous examination! We’ll work together to eliminate any typos, imperfections, or those pesky gremlins that may have snuck in (remember, major illustration changes are no longer possible at this point). These edits are essential for a polished final product. Take your time to meticulously review everything. We’ll be here to support you and eliminate any issues. However, the final sign-off rests with you (another reason why a professionally proofread manuscript is key!). Our package includes TWO rounds of final edits. Any additional changes after this stage will incur extra charges. Let’s work together to make your dream book shine!
After perfecting your book through editing, we’ll request your formal written sign-off (usually via email). Once received, we’ll compile everything and send you all the final print files – everything you need to bring your book to life!

It’s crucial to ensure your story does not infringe on anyone’s intellectual property rights. Avoid using real company trade names or existing character names from other stories, films, TV shows, or books without the copyright owner’s express written permission.
For your project, we will issue a limited license for you to use the illustrations we create specifically for the purchased book. By default, illustrators own the copyright to their creations as soon as they are made. Issuing a license is the correct and legal way to allow you to use the illustrations as agreed upon in the contract.

ISBN stands for the International Standard Book Number. It provides a unique product identity for your book, essential for selling, listing, discovering, and distributing your books.
While it’s not a legal requirement, publishers, booksellers, and libraries use ISBNs for ordering, listing, and stock control.
If you decide to add an ISBN to your book, the process is simple. You can purchase an ISBN online. In the UK, the ISBN agency was formerly Whitakers, which combined with Book Data to create Nielsen Book Data. They manage the allocation of ISBNs and other services you will need as your project progresses.
